A brilliant night was held at the prizegiving in Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig on Jan 3rd where 350 people danced the night away after the
deserving award winners for 2008 collected their trophies.
Congratulations to overall winners Liam McCarthy and Kieran Murphy who took the title after a tight year long battle that was settled on
a countback after they finished the championship level on points with Alan Ring/Adrian Deasy.
Many thanks to everyone who helped us out in any way over the year and once again our thanks go to James O Sullivan and 023 Tiles for their
fantastic support over the years which ended this year.Darren McCarthy,on behalf of the Southern 4, made a presentation to James to mark the occasion.
Our thanks too go to Cork Motor Club,and in particular Trish Hogan and Caroline Kearney,for their tremendous work organising the fantastic night we all enjoyed so much.
We look forward to seeing you all again at the first round in 2009,the Quality Hotels West Cork Rally in March.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the competitors who registered for the championship again this year,we hope you enjoyed the rallies involved and we send our congratulations to all of you who collected awards at the prizegiving.
We also send our thanks to the clubs involved for hosting the championship,Cork Motor Club,Killarney & District Car Club,Munster Car Club,Carrick-on Suir Motor Club and The Skibbereen & District Car club. We couldn't ask for better rallies to host the championship and we are very grateful for all the hard work the orgnanisers put in to ensure their successful running.
To the marshals.timekeepers,stage commanders etc again we say thank you,it sounds like a cliche at this stage but it is very true that without you there would be no rallies.
